Introducing TRUSTteam™ Fall 2009!
Sound district leadership begins with a trusted, cohesive school board/ superintendent team.TRUSTteam™ gets you there faster.
Beginning with the 2009-10 academic year, first year school board members who superintendent is a current or past member of start™ programs, will have the opportunity to participate in TRUSTteam - a pilot leadership program designed specifically for new board members.
What isTRUSTteam™?
Based on the successful start Leadership Program, which equips new superintendents with the knowledge needed to successfully maximize their performance, TRUSTteam™ provides opportunities for new school board members to successfully increase their effectiveness. More importantly, it is an opportunity to meet and reflect on the challenges and demands of their elected positions with other first year members. Similar to start™, confidential discussions will take place in small groups of no more than 20 members and will be led by experienced school board members.
Typical Schedule
Forums will be held four times annually with meeting locations to be determined by response levels and ease of accessibility. One of the four meetings will be a combined meeting held in Lansing, MI.
Is there A Fee to Participate?
Only a registration fee of $100 which covers meeting costs and a drawing for a scholarship to be awarded to a deserving senior by the winning board member.
